Alex Booth is a carpenter. He used to supply and build
conservatories, and has worked for "Fairline Boats", masters of the millionaire yachts.
It was after building
a room at the bottom of his garden for his work, that he realized the full benefits of not working in the house. He felt "more in control", rather than the business controlling him. He felt he made better decisions, with better concentration, and more productivity.
It was this "aha", that made Alex determined to design an affordable, insulated, attractive Garden Building which anyone could afford, hence the "Luxury you can afford" tagline the business now proudly displays.
Most people could do with extra living space, but do not have the huge budget which many of the Garden Rooms designs require. Most of Alex's customers point out that, "For what most Garden Room companies charge, I could build another house!".
The cheaper end of the Garden Room market in the UK were simply sheds with more insulation , or single skin buildings like log cabins, which don't actually have much "log" and are more "plank cabins" than log. This meant Alex started from scratch. He didn't run a shed business or plank cabin business so he started with a fresh outlook to the situation.
His latest solution is the "QC" or "Quarter Century" model, which he developed in conjuction with Brian Connellan, an expert in the field of conservatory design. The QC model incorporates modern materials and contemporary design to offer even more value for money to the UK Garden Room market. Alex's constant innovation has quickly established Booths Garden Studios as the UK's leading Garden Room supplier.

Alex discovered that famous authors
such as Roald Dahl, Geoffry Archer, Dylan Thomas and Richard Pullman preferred
the concentration zone that such an environment could give. He set about designing a Garden Studio with
the following key features; portable, insulated, secure,
attractive, installed in hours, free standing, provide a professional
working atmosphere, and most of all VALUE FOR MONEY. Contact us for more information, or subscribe to our Free Weekly Email. |

The "Business Times" interviews Alex about the "Q Century" Garden Office, and how it is helping the self employed reduce their overheads with no maintenance worries. As Alex says, "Many of our customers are moving from expensive rented office premises, to a "QC" in their garden, and in the long run, saving themselves a considerable amount of money. We are now looking into renting the QC to people that haven't got the initial large capital outlay. It's an exciting time for us."

What our customers say:
"As a engineer, I found the detail of how the building went together, to be extremely impressive. I work in the construction industry, designing buildings installed from Cornwall to Scotland. Modular building that enable fast construction, without comprising quality and finish, is a key design driver, on many school and residential schemes - it is something we seek to obtain, but rarely able to, without procurement in Germany and Switzerland. I find it impressive that Booths Garden Studios have developed this concept to a product that can be purchased in the UK, from a UK supplier."
